The Archie Green Medal Award 2025 celebrates the legacy of Archie “Bear” Green by honouring junior footballers who best demonstrate teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive team spirit. Chosen by their coach, each recipient is a player who shows dedication, fair play, and supports teammates both on and off the field. The award reflects Archie’s character, his love for life, and the generosity he showed through organ donation, saving five lives. In that same spirit, Archie’s 100 charity encourages others to save lives by joining the Life Blood team and becoming a blood donor.
Note: This year each coach will select his own player so as the appropriate player receives the medal who aligns with Archie’s Traits.
This Round shall be coordinated across the following dates.

Welcome to Archie ‘Bears’ 100!
Our Why:
In early 2020 we lost our amazing son Archie “Bear” at age 7, in a tragic boating accident.
Each year we celebrate Archie’s Heavenly Birthday by honouring his amazing legacy and acknowledging the wonderful emergency service workers who dedicate their lives to saving others.
- DonateLife
- 000 Ambulance Tasmania Service
- Westpac Rescue Helicopter
- The Royal Hobart Hospital NICU
- Australian Red Cross Lifeblood
Out of this tragedy, our Archie became an organ donor and from this incredible gift, he was able to essentially give life to 5 strangers.
Through “Archie’s 100” funds raised will go towards funding the best equipment, research, or patient care at the Royal Hospital Hospital’s Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.
‘Archie’s 100’ is made up of many events run throughout the amazing community we live in, the major event being a family fun event, 100 minutes of exercise (run or walk), followed by children’s activities including, face painting, food vans and loads other entertainment.
We encourage you and your family to discuss and consider registering for organ donation via this link below:
